Fighting avoidable blindness

A young artist by the name of Célestin created the charming and touching eye illustrations for this solid soap with shea butter. A pleasure to use, it produces a creamy lather that cleanses your skin while leaving it subtly fragranced. It's a good product, for a good cause!

A strong commitment from L'OCCITANE

Every year, since 2000, L'OCCITANE has sold a new fund-raising product. The profits** from this product are used to help combat blindness by making ophthalmological care more accessible to the poorest segments of the population.

Our Foundation frequently works with partners to help combat this disability and sustainably reduce the number of people affected.

To date, we have helped over five million people…and we're not stopping there!
Our new challenge is allowing 10 millions people to benefit from a quality eye care by 2020 -  "10by20" goal.

80% of visual impairments are avoidable or can be treated by ensuring a sufficient intake of Vitamin A. In fact, Vitamin A deficiency is one of the main causes of childhood blindness. At present, one in every three children under the age of five is affected by Vitamin A deficiency.
Determined to reduce the number of visually impaired children, L'OCCITANE en Provence is supporting UNICEF in its work to provide children with essential Vitamin A supplements. Our action is focused on three countries, so that we can measure the impact of our commitment.
